The hut was opened in 1955 in memory of the late William Norman Ling, the funds for equipment having been provided by a legacy bequeathed by him to the Club.
IMPORTANT NOTE: following some lengthy discussions by the committee, we have decided to restrict the use of all our huts to those aged 18 or over. It is certainly not our intention to have a complete ban on under 18's and we hope to revise this position as soon as possible but for the time being we DO NOT PERMIT UNDER 18's IN THE HUTS. *** Use LING plus yours/your club's name as reference for all Ling booking payments. *** If you swap out any gas bottles please let me know. Water from the tap NEEDS TO BE BOILED for safe consumption. Generator operation instructions are on your booking form and in main room. The electricity only powers lights and a water pump. You cannot plug in any chargers or other devices.
