The sun shone from the bluest of blue skies and a large turn-out of almost 40 members and guests enjoyed all that the North-West has to offer. Most of the local Munros were climbed together with Corbetts, Grahams and these new kids on the block – the Hughs. Worthy of mention were the many ascents of Open Secret at Stone Valley, Tom Prentice’s hill walking feats following his accident recovery, some strong climbing from Colin Stead and Cam Forrest at Diabaig and Geoff Cohen’s team ascent of Skyline Highway on Slioch. The Meet closed with a visit to John Hay’s house at Annat and a private view of his excellent art works. Next Easter we are booked for Inchnadamph but it took no persuasion of members at all to re-book Kinlochewe for 2024.
