Those who complete (compleat!) the Munros can record this fact and receive the magic number by writing in to The Clerk of The List (See here). Additionally, a list of current compleaters is published annually in the SMC Journal.
John and Joanne recently compleated together, having climbed all the Munros together.
Joanne and John write:
Our first Munro was Liathach (Spidean a’ Choire Leith) in August 1998 and our last was Sgurr Dubh Mor on the 28th June 2014. Thus we have taken just under 16 years. About a quarter of the Munros were climbed in winter, over various Christmas weeks. Some of our most memorable days have in fact been on Christmas Day. As someone once said to us, descending Meall Ghaordie on Christmas Day in powder snow with a blue sky and no wind: "it beats watching Eastenders".
