Munro Compleatists

Those who complete (compleat!) the Munros can record this fact and receive the magic number by writing in to The Clerk of The List (See here). Additionally, a list of current compleaters is published annually in the SMC Journal.
Julie Brooks - 5132
Beinn na Lap - 22 September 2012

Front row (left to right): Stephen and Julie (with trousers rolled up), Gordon and Justine.
Back row: Sharon, Ally, Chris and Jason.

Julie writes:
My husband Stephen (Munroist 5133) and I bagged our first Munro (Ben Lomond) together in April 2002. We continued to climb the remaining 283 together until 22 September 2012 when we took the train to Corrour with family and friends to compleat the round on Beinn na Lap.

We have learned how to navigate, scramble and improve on our winter hillwalking skills. We have worn out three pairs of boots and at least thirty layers of clothing and now own three tents of various size and weight and a mountain bike. We have enjoyed being out on the hills in all weather conditions and have experienced some hair-raising moments!

We celebrated our compleation on a fine sunny day with a glass of Champagne and/or a Single Malt followed by a few beers in the Corrour Station. Stephen has just bought a Corbett book, so it looks like the next 10 years are mapped out for us.
