Munro Compleatists

Those who complete (compleat!) the Munros can record this fact and receive the magic number by writing in to The Clerk of The List (See here). Additionally, a list of current compleaters is published annually in the SMC Journal.

Duncan notes: My first Munros were those on the S. Clunie Ridge in the summer of 1989. I was accompanied for my final Munro by friends from Inverness (where I moved 2 years ago to become an adopted Scot) and friends and family from SE England (where I lived when I was English). In the summit photo are: (back) Nancy, Kate, Owen, Sheldon, (middle) Ruth, myself, Arran, John, (front) Hannah, Patrick, Rebekah, Jemimah, Rebekah, Phil. Nancy broke her wrist on the way up so is doing well to smile in the photo. Patrick is six and managed the event with admirable enthusiasm. For most people this was their first Munro. A special mention in despatches for those who set out with good intent but for one reason or another did not make it to the summit (Frank and Brenda, Ian, Alistair). Others were with us for the day mainly for the superb tea room in Bridge of Balgie (Jean and Roy, Marjorie, Sheena, Maureen). Thanks to all for a great day out, and lovely company.
