Munro Compleatists

Those who complete (compleat!) the Munros can record this fact and receive the magic number by writing in to The Clerk of The List (See here). Additionally, a list of current compleaters is published annually in the SMC Journal.

Stob Coire Raineach - 9 September 2006

I am attaching a photo of my compleation celebration, taken on Saturday 9 September at the summit of Stob Coire Raineach, the northeast top of Buachaille Etive Beag. My first Munro was Stob Dubh, the southwest top of Buachaille Etive Beag, climbed in August 1990, in the days when the Wee Buachaille had only one Munro. My compleation celebration was attended by 31 people, including: Graham King (Munroist 70); his wife, Heather King (Munroist 926); their son, Iain King (Munroist 1230), and Julian Ridal (Munroist 1292). Graham, Iain and Julian are all now on their third time round the Munros. The celebration also included three children for whom Stob Coire Raineach was their first Munro. These were: Tina Lardner (aged 15); Demi Lardner (aged 13); and Gregor King (aged 4, Iain King's son, and Graham & Heather's grandson). Gregor walked all the way to the summit and back, entirely on his own two feet, although his sister Grace, aged 2, was carried much of the way.
