Those who complete (compleat!) the Munros can record this fact and receive the magic number by writing in to The Clerk of The List (See here). Additionally, a list of current compleaters is published annually in the SMC Journal.

Alan wrote that he was the one in the green fleece leaning against the trig pillar. Sounds like the discussion I often have with my wife, with green versus turquoise! Alan was accompanied by 21 friends, at least six of whom had done the Munros (but only two of whom had 'fessed up'. Further note: Alan has gone to some pains to make it clear that he is not the bearded gent in the turquoise sweater in front of the cairn, but rather is the gent holding the glass, also leaning against the trip pillar (the gent that is), in a dark green sweater. (Funny, that's what I thought too...)
