The Presidential table had Simon Richardson and guest Helen Rennard, who on the morning of the dinner climbed a winter first ascent on Nevis

Many hours of work by Helen Forde to produce this tribute to our members Rick Allen and Sandy Allan who in July completed a 15 day epic by climbing the Mazeno Ridge to the summit of Nanga Parbat.

"The SMC at 125" 1889-2014
Another design by Helen G S Forde painted in watercolour shows a very young Charles Inglis Clark climbing on Salisbury Crags. He was killed in the 1st World War, and the CIC Hut is his memorial. Opposite is a contemporary view of climbing on Ben Nevis in 2008 with Dave Maceod making his successful attempt on Don't die of ignorance.
